Several Comments on FINRA Notice #22-08: 1) I understand exactly what inverse and leveraged funds are and do not wish to be burdened by any type of special process that delays or restricts my ability to invest in such funds. 2) I can choose for myself what investments are right for me and do not want any regulations that would restrict my choice to do so in any way while potentially letting others invest in such securities. It's a matter of fairness to all market participants. 3) I use leveraged and inverse funds regularly to hedge other positions or take advantage of dislocations in market pricing to either maximize my gains and limit my losses. Taking away these important investment options would negatively affect my investments. 4) Where does it end? Maybe restrict investments in stocks trading under $2 with a market cap under $250M for investor unless they pass a test and have a net worth north of $1M. Ridiculous, just like this proposed regulation.
