Email: [email protected] Subject: Regulatory Notice 22-08 05/08/2022 Please allow leveraged and inverse funds to continue. Public investments should be available to all of the public and should not be restricted to only certain groups or individuals. I have a hard time understanding why restrictions are being considered for leveraged and inverse ETFs such as index funds while high risk stocks including biotech companies with no earnings and lose money are still able to be purchased by the public with no knowledge of their risks. We should be able to choose the investments that are right for us and our family. Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged. I work in healthcare and take care of people with disabilities and worker's comp injuries and they should be free to invest their money in brokerage accounts that have full disclosure about the risks and benefits and alternatives. They should not have to prove their competence and the brokerages should continue to disclose the risks and benefits and if there are questions then people should sign a form indicating that they are aware of the risks, benefits, and alternatives as opposed to government intervention. This is the same as in healthcare decisions in which an informed consent is signed. We should all be allowed to invest and this includes leveraged and contra funds. Thanks very much.
