Just found out about the proposed restrictions being considered regarding leveraged/inverse investments. My wife and I are retired and utilize products of this type on a limited but regular basis in attempt to protect and improve our retirement income and sources... just like the large and politically connected trading companies. It is absolutely necessary in this messed up economic and political environment we are currently in. I do not need regulators making it more difficult for me to invest in these publicly traded products when I feel it necessary. Yes, some products are relatively complex...but I am quite capable of understanding them and their risks. I invest with the help of Fidelity Investments... they routinely alert me of potential risks associated with these products and provide educational materials. They also require that I execute an agreement stating that I understand the products and are financially able to accept the risks. In my opinion, there is no need for regulators to impose additional measures on me. I hope you consider my views . Thank you.
