I am a teacher (read: not rich by any means), however I have a total of 4 degrees. I have 2 undergrad degrees and 2 masters. I am more than capable of managing my own investments. I am a fully capable adult who can figure out the realm of investments and I should be able to invest my money as I see fit. I have a limited amount of money- especially when compared to my student loans. Im not able to pay someone to invest for me- not should I have to. A publicly traded investment should not be limited to the rich and powerful- its discrimination and puts more distance between the regular 99% and the already too rich 1% in America. My right to pursue upward mobility independently should be protected by the FIRA.
