FINRA Regulators: I am concerned about new regulations that might ban or limit my ability to invest in certain mutual funds/EMFs, specifically those that would limit or ban leveraged and/or inverse leveraged funds. I can't help but guess that the reason Vanguard recently blocked access to these funds came ahead of your possible system-wide regulations. I have contacted Vanguard to express my distress over their situation, which in their case, is logically unsound and unreasoned considering that they allow options trading of almost all stripes and varieties. Surely having another waiver would not be a hardship. As to your future decisions, I would ask that you leave it to the financial houses to work out. Vanguard issued a ban of purchases but, thankfully, will allow me to sell my holdings! Fidelity or Schwab might choose otherwise. I told Vanguard if they continued down this path, I would transfer my account of 20+ years. I don't think there is a need for such regulations.
