I do not invest in most "complex products" because I cannot understand them. However, there have been some that I thought I understood and lost money. This was a learning lesson that a lot of investors must go through. Now, I do understand a few of the simply constructed "products" (in which I have invested) and resent "nannies" telling me what I can do and not do. I learned the hard way and believe that is the best way.
