Please reconsider making any changes to the current regulations
for leveraged and inverse funds. I should be able to choose the
public investments that are right for me and my family. Public
investments should be available to all of the public, not just the
privileged.
I should not have to go through any special process, like passing a test before I can invest in public securities, leveraged and inverse funds. I am able to understand leveraged and inverse funds and their risks. I do not want or need these measures imposed on me.
Leveraged and inverse funds are important to my investment strategies. I use leverage and inverse funds to hedge my investments
in the extreme market volatility present. It is a limited part of my overall
portofolio.
The average investor who does not have billions of dollars at
their disposal, like hedge funds, should not be penalized in
this manner but just trying to have a little money for food,
for air conditioner repairs or to replace a water heater in their
home or to try to help their children.
Please reconsider placing these restrictions those of us just
trying to make it in the curent economic climate.
