I like having the ability to invest in leveraged funds. I do not want this option taken away, or limited by some gate-keeper that gets to decide what I do with my money.
These are calculated risks I take and provides me choices for high growth.
I understand that we're trying to protect uninformed people, but you can't solve this by showing people pages of text before they trade. These people won't read or understand in any case, and forcing a training course or more onerous requirements on people functions too much like a gate-keeper system, where you think you know better and will be enforcing your opinions on others.
The underlying risks are similar for vanilla shares - are we going to do this for that too? This is just going to end up being one more annoying thing with more unforeseen side-effects.
If you want to spend the time and money, just send every shareholder an informative letter.
