It has been brought to my attention that there have been discussions of limitations and extreme regulations when investing in leveraged funds.
I believe strongly that this limitation goes against the nature of the free market which has been established in this country for many years. Any market participant has come to an understanding that there exists possibility of total loss, but we still choose to participate due to the chance of great success, and I do not believe that it should be up to any person or regulator, what instruments we, as investors, choose to grow our wealth.
This kind of limitation simply benefits the more privileged, as does the PTD rule. It appears that regulators are trying to fix the game for those who provide more volume to the market, but disregard the small participants who may depend on these investments to provide for their families.
I personally only invest in leveraged funds, utilizing net credit option strategies, and inversely I can build a proper hedge position utilizing such.
Implementing special processes and tests to pass to be allowed to invest simply narrows down the market participants to the big hands.
I strongly believe that there are far, far more serious things taking place in this market that need to be investigated, such as naked short selling, excessive FTD numbers, and plenty more shady activity by hedge funds.
Thank you for your time and I hope you will take us small participants into consideration when making this potentially life changing, or even life threatening decision.
