Hey, I get it. In today's litigious society everyone wants to blame someone else for their own poor decisions. That's just part of where the world is going. I own my own mistakes and because of that I feel that I should be able to make my own decisions. I own small amounts of a few levered funds because it's fun. It adds a little excitement to an otherwise very conservative portfolio strategy. I feel that if I'm willing to take the risk of investing and the ETF/Fund issuer is willing to take on the risk of lawsuits, we should both be able to do what we want. This feels like another example of punishing the masses because of the mistakes of the few. Just my opinion.
