Eddie So Comment On Regulatory Notice 22-08

I should be able to choose the public investments that are right for me. Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged. Additional regulation would only serve as an unfair restriction on the public in investing in public securities. I shouldn't have to go through any special process like passing a test before I can invest in public securities, like leveraged and inverse funds. I am capable of making my own decisions and doing my own research, and everyone should have a right to those things. Leveraged ETFs allow everyone the possibility of having substantial returns no matter how small the initial investment. Imagine if you had to take a test and pass an assessment just to enter a public library. How ridiculous and outrageous that would be. That would effectively bar people who wish to obtain knowledge and access would be dependent on some arbitrary assessment made by some committee that may not have the public's interests in mind. Everyone should be allowed to freely invest. We are not cattle and I do not wish to be led by people who could care less about me. People can be and are capable just as you the reader are capable of many things.
Regulations such as passing a regulator-imposed test of specialized investment knowledge, demonstrating a high net worth, getting special approval from a broker, attesting to reading certain materials, and going through cooling off periods during which one cant invest, are a THREAT to the larger public's ability and right to invest and pursue wealth.
