These are public investments and should be available to the public. If someone is silly enough to invest in the market without the proper knowledge that person will most likely lose their entire investment. With that said, the market is serious stuff. Making profits in the market is only possible if we, the public, can continue to use all the various instruments available in order to make profits. With restrictions in place, it would make it extremely difficult to make profits. If there are folks out there investing without knowledge, they are not going to be IN the market very long. Anyone investing in the market, it's their "job" to understand what they are doing, if they don't they will get scalped.
I have been investing in the stock market for many years and had great mentors. I perfectly understand what I do on a daily basis to make profits. I use inverse funds to hedge my investments or for seeking enhanced returns when the market setup is right. I manage my own stock portfolio and have no problem going long or short when those setups are in place. I need to continue to trade in order to grow my portfolio so we can retire comfortably. By putting these restrictions in place this would only lengthen the time (which I do not have) it takes to make long term growth and retirement possible.
Please, NO RESTRICTIONS.
