As an individual who invests in EFTs and other assets using income from a W-2 Job, its very important that I have the freedom to review, research, and pick which products I wish to invest my money. The SEC is constantly making it more difficult to generate good returns for non-accredited investors and this is just another example. Actions like this leave normal citizens like myself out of some of the best investment vehicles which contributes to wealth inequality. In laymen's terms, policies like this contribute the rich getting richer and the poor getting poor. Work on policies that help normal citizens access investments with good returns.
