I am a novice investor. I have several friends who are also novice investors. We're responsible, upstanding people with day jobs who have earned our money and have made a conscious decision about the kind of risks we'd like to take with that money. We understand the risks we're taking. We understand the securities we're trading.
We're all aware of the reddit sob stories about nitwits that have blown up their accounts. We are not those people. Please do not punish us for what a small handful of idiots have done.
If your agency is too impotent to regulate the bailout recipients and major funds, please don't try to compensate by scalping the little guys. Leave us alone to let us attempt to make our way financially in our own way.
