America is founded on the principal of education and independence. As an investor, I should be able to choose the public investments that are right for me and my family. Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged.
I should not have to go through any process or take a test before investing in any security. As long as we have regulations that financial firms disclose any potential risks and outline what the securities are, investors such as myself will be able to make appropriate choices.
As an educated and informed investor, I am capable of understanding leveraged and inverse funds and their risks. I do not need measures imposed on me, nor government oversight on my financial choices.
Leveraged and inverse funds are important to my investment strategies as both a hedge against downturns, as well as a way to enhance returns as a limited part of my overall portfolio.
With the uncertainty of the markets and our financial system, along with runaway inflation, American families need every tool at their disposal to protect their assets and ensure that the money they earn through hard work can also work for them.
Please reconsider any restrictions on inverse or leveraged ETFs or any other products that can be safely used by an educated investor.
