I oppose restrictions on the ability to invest/trade public investment products such as leveraged ETFs because I understand the risks involved (such as volatility decay). I should be able to invest/trade in these ETFs because they comprise a small portion of my portfolio, and I use them as a learning tool to figure out about how these ETFs work. I also use them to try to capture enhanced returns depending on how the overall stock market performs, and implementing restrictions in this case would widen the gap between the rich and the poor (if only high net worth individuals are able to take advantage of, for example, UPRO when the market is in an upward trend or SQQQ when the market is in a downtrend).
