Please leave everything as it stands in regards to the availability of investment products. The knowledgeable and experienced money managers of brokers, and the government show no higher skill in investing, i.e. the current financial condition of the US government. Please allow citizens the freedom to manage their own money, for better or for worse. If they have the capability to earn and save it, they should have the capability to manage it.
