As a newer investor, I am appalled at the lack of transparency in the market. The information I have discovered involving dark pools, naked shorting of shares, and hiding FTD's within options is the most blatant forms of manipulation in any field that I have been a part of. How this has been allowed for all these years with only a slap-on-the-wrist penalty is disgraceful. The sad part is that after multiple fines, sometimes hundreds of fines for the same firms, they are still doing it today. Now that the entire globe is watching the events of this market manipulation unfold, continuing to go unchecked, I hope that something is finally being done to better regulate and monitor these illegal activities. I also hope that more aggressive fines or even stronger penalties than that are imposed on those, especially the repeat offenders. Unless something is done and done fast, I will be removing all my funds from the US Stock Market indefinitely. I will not invest my money into something catered to the rich to manipulate at their will.
