System Changes for Reporting TRACE Securitized Products Transactions
On Monday, September 26, 2011, FINRA will implement the following changes to the Trade Reporting and Quotation Service (TRAQS) secure website:
- Addition of a new function called “Historical Trades”
- The Historical Trades scan will be available from the TRACE Securitized Products menu within TRAQS and will allow users to filter and view data on transactions that are >T+20 and to perform reversals on these transactions from the scan filter results.
- Fields that can be used to perform a data search and that are included in the data grid results scan for a specific transaction include:
- Control Date
- TRACE Control Number
- CUSIP
- Symbol
- Trade Status
- Client Trade Identifier
- Trade Report Date
- Execution Date
- Execution Time (available in data grid only)
- Reporting Party Identifier (available in data grid only)
- Once a user receives specific transactions in the data grid they may select the “Reversal” icon next to the specific transaction they wish to act on and enter the relevant trade details to implement the reversal transaction
- Similar to other functions within TRAQS, tools are available in the Historical Trades screen for the user to work with, including:
- Trade Entry
- Refresh
- CSV Export
- Save Settings
- Clear Settings
- Addition of “Execution Date” to Unmatched Trade Reports Scan
- The Execution Date, which was added to the filtering and data grid criteria, will work in conjunction with the Trade Report dates to present the user with relevant data for a trade executed on a specific date.
- Execution Date field is not required to filter data; the user may ignore the field when querying information.
- If selected, the Execution Date parameters allow the user to choose from the current date or one of the previous three business days.
- The Execution Date, which was added to the filtering and data grid criteria, will work in conjunction with the Trade Report dates to present the user with relevant data for a trade executed on a specific date.
