Karinya Verghese

Karinya Verghese is Chief of Staff to the Chief Financial and Administration Officer (CFAO) and Vice President of Strategic Operations. In this role, Ms. Verghese provides strategic support to the CFAO and his leadership team. As VP of Strategic Operations, she oversees a diverse range of functions that advance Business & Industry Solutions operational effectiveness and strategic direction, including strategic initiatives, business operations, training and development, and regulatory compliance.

Since joining FINRA in 2016, Ms. Verghese has held two other positions within the organization – most recently, she was VP and Chief of Staff to the Head of Enforcement after serving as an Associate Regional Director for FINRA’s Office of Dispute Resolution. Prior to joining FINRA, Ms. Verghese worked as a commercial mediator and conflict resolution consultant in 
Los Angeles and also spent eight years as a corporate lawyer with major Australian law firms in her hometown of 
Sydney, Australia.

Ms. Verghese holds a bachelor’s degree and a law degree from the University of Sydney, as well as an LLM in Dispute Resolution from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University.
