Kym Weiland

Kym Weiland, Vice President of Enterprise Operations at FINRA, brings over 20+ years of diversified experience that encompasses Incident Management, Change Management, Cloud Resiliency, Site Reliability Operations and Monitoring. She currently leads a multi-disciplinary team of leaders and professionals who manage end user support, cloud management, production operations, monitoring and change for the full portfolio of FINRA hosted applications. This includes managing a multi-account cloud system architecture hosting petabyte scale data and complex workloads that is the foundation of FINRA’s architecture in the Cloud.

Kym's deep expertise is reflected in the multiple industry speaking invitations she receives that has included major industry events such as AWS re:Invent and AWS Financial Services Resiliency Roundtables. She also has recently had privilege to be invited to speak at a fireside chat as part of a distinguished panel that included representation from ModelOp, Carnegie Mellon University and Wells Fargo back in late September.

Kym holds Master of Science degrees in both Meteorology from Penn State University and Project Management from George Washington University. She is one the Co-Executive Sponsor of WIT (Women in Technology) at FINRA and is one of its original members.
